A woman was in the hospital, and a man was in jail following a stabbing Thursday morning in Leavenworth.

For more than a decade, Leavenworth County’s public works department has offered residents a chance to minimize the amount of dust on unpaved roads.

An 82-year-old Leavenworth woman remained in the hospital Wednesday after she reportedly was battered by her daughter over the weekend, according to a police spokesman.

Three rural Easton residents were arrested Tuesday after they were found to be in possession of items stolen from other people’s sheds the night before, the Leavenworth County sheriff said.
