Anna Frances Scarborough, 90 of Lansing, passed away at her residence, Tuesday, October 29, 2013.
Anna was born on November 8, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, number 7 of 10 children born to John and Ljubica (Emma) Barsic Cavlovic.  She attended school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She entered the United States Army in January of 1945 and served until August, 1946. She married Edgar M. Scarborough on July 10, 1946 in Cushing, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on November 29, 1999 after 53 years of marriage.
Anna was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church and the Altar Society for many years.  She also was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Croatian Fraternal Union of America, and a life member of the local Ex-POW Chapter.
Anna was employed at the Veteran's Administration for a number of years in Medical Records.
Survivors include her children, one son; Joe Scarborough (Charlene) of Mustang, Oklahoma, two daughters; Nancy Watkins (Ron) of Easton, Sally Wendt (Wes) of Leavenworth, six grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons; Ed and David and an infant son Timmy, and Granddaughter Lori Scarborough.
Visitation will be today, November 5, 2013 from 2 until 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 until 8 p.m., and a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Lansing, Kansas.
Burial with Military Honors will be 11 a.m. at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.
