Mushroom season is almost here. We're fortunate to live in a part of the country where wild mushrooms grow abundantly and are free for the taking. Folks in Kansas and Missouri take their mushroom hunting seriously, and the most serious mushroom of all is the morel. These prized morsels can sell for more than $30 per pound at the grocery store.®Did you know that there are many types of mushrooms that can be easily grown in the home garden? Shiitakes and Portobello's are two of the most popular.
