It’s definitely a first. The High Noon Saloon and Brewery in Leavenworth is certainly not the first microbrewery in the state — but it is the first to introduce cans as a way to distribute its beer.


It’s definitely a first. The High Noon Saloon and Brewery in Leavenworth is certainly not the first microbrewery in the state — but it is the first to introduce cans as a way to distribute its beer.

On Friday, the restaurant received funding from Network Kansas, an organization that seeks to help small businesses in the state, as part of a total of $30,000 in no-interest loans from the Leavenworth Main Street Program and Network Kansas.

The Leavenworth Times also is available at newspaper racks located around Leavenworth and Leavenworth County. Newspapers at the racks cost 50 cents Tuesday through Friday and $1 for the weekend edition on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
