  • Name: Chad Hendrix
Coaching position: Pleasant Ridge cross country coach
    Years as coach: three years
Why did you get into coaching? I got into coaching because I love sports and working with student athletes. I enjoy watching the kids be successful each week and get better over the entire season.
What are you best memories of coaching so far? The first memory comes from my first season when we had 20 runners that came out for the team, and we accomplished many individual and team goals.
The second memory came from this last season when Tony Weber won regionals and the girls' team qualified for state. It was great seeing the hard work pay off for my team.
What advice do you have for future coaches? I would tell future coaches to enjoy every moment that the season brings and celebrate even the smallest accomplishments because they can lead to the biggest achievements.
