I hope by now you have reconsidered the poor choice of printing that portion of Mr. Mason’s letter that defames the character of Willie Dove. He has no more a murderous heart than the Christ he serves.

I hope by now you have reconsidered the poor choice of printing that portion of Mr. Mason’s letter that defames the character of Willie Dove. He has no more a murderous heart than the Christ he serves. He is a kind and sincere soul.
Now that he has won his first race, it is imperative that lies and accusations be revealed for what they are – dirty politics. Even an apology from Mr. Mason cannot fully recompense Mr. Dove for the attack on his character. Nevertheless, Mr. Dove’s forgiving nature has brought to mind the quote: “You meant it for harm, but God meant it for good.” Amen to that.
