Team Outlook: STRENGTHS — Behind the leadership of all-KCAC libero Amelia Noll, the Lady Spires should once again be a strong defensive team in 2012. As far as offensively, the team contains some much-needed power from its outside hitter positions.

WEAKNESSES —  Due to a lack of numbers, the squad will combat endurance and injury issues throughout the season. “We are going to focus on staying healthy and mentally strong,” Johnson said.

Big games: Home vs. Kansas Wesleyan, Sept. 25; Home vs. Friends, Oct. 24; Home vs. Tabor, Nov. 2

Coach says: “I’m looking forward to Sept. 5 when we get to put all that we have been working for into action. This is a very talented group of girls and we are focusing on being our best every day. If we can bring that mentality to the court day in and day out, we’re going to be successful.”
