Coaching position: Leavenworth head boys’ basketball coach

    Years as coach: 35

Why did you get into coaching? I enjoy working with kids, love the game and the competition.

What are you best memories of coaching so far? My daughter’s team winning the Sunflower State Games in Allen Fieldhouse and winning the 6A State Tournament in 2000. There are many others, but those two are at the top.

What advice do you have for future coaches? Do what you know is right in your heart. Treat kids the way you would want to be treated. Be honest with evaluations.
