Kevin James Holder, 55, of Lansing, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at his home.
He was born Aug. 15, 1957, in Leavenworth the son of James Frederick and Wanda C. (Coder) Holder.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Holder; mother, Wanda Holder; father in-law, Bill Hicks; sisters in-law, Patty (John) Stevens and Mary Shipman; nieces, Amber Shipman and Rachel Shipman; and a nephew Alex Shipman.
Kevin was an avid drummer being a member of numerous bands in the Leavenworth and Kansas City area such as Hundred Proof, Ossian and Edge of Forever. Kevin worked for the Kansas City Star for over 15 years.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.
A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
A celebration of Kevin's life will follow at the American Legion. Memorials are suggested to the Hemophilia Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
