Lansing’s 7th Annual “Autumn in the Grove” fall festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 13. The event will take place in Kelly Grove Park, located at East Gilman Road and Kansas Highway 7 across from Crossroads United Methodist Church. Admission to the event is free.
Attendees can show off their singing skills during the “Grooving in the Grove” karaoke contest beginning at 1 p.m. There will also be a variety of fall favorites: Pumpkin decorating, children’s crafts, artisan demonstrations, craft vendors, a scarecrow entertainer and a bonfire. Visitors will also be able to vote for their favorite scarecrow in the Lansing Historical Museum’s annual scarecrow contest. Food and drink is also available including baked goods, cider, smores, hamburgers, hot dogs and more. Civic groups and student organizations may participate if they wish to raise money for their groups. Crossroads United Methodist Church will also be hosting a chili feast from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Please note that the Lansing Historical Museum will be closed Oct. 13 in support of this event.
