  • Muriel Marie Brown passed away September 29th, 2012 in Denton,Tx. She was born on April 16th, 1925, the youngest of five children of Emil F. Dietsch and Rose Edgell Dietsch. She attended school in Lansing, San Francisco, and Leavenworth.

    Muriel Marie Brown passed away September 29th, 2012 in Denton,Tx. She was born on April 16th, 1925, the youngest of five children of Emil F. Dietsch and Rose Edgell Dietsch. She attended school in Lansing, San Francisco, and Leavenworth.
    On August 5th, 1941, she married Clarkson Brown. After WWII years spent in San Francisco and Seattle, they settled in Leavenworth, then moved to Wadsworth (VA center), where they lived from 1951 to 1969.
    In the mid 70's she retired from work at Ft Leavenworth and was a member of NARFE. In retirement she enjoyed family, travel, cards with friends, and Aquacise at the Riverfront Community Center.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, her older brothers Emil F Dietsch, jr, and Victor Dietsch, and two older sisters Rosebell Holman and Colleen Jensen.She is survived by three sons Larry of Charleston, S.C., Keith, of Olathe, Robert of Leavenworth, one daughter Janice Fulks of Shady Shores Tx., five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren
    The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 2, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel   531 Shawnee St, Leavenworth, Kan. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 7th and Seneca St., Leavenworth, Kan. Burial will follow in the Mt. Muncie Cemetery.
