Lizzy Cline was the lone representative for the Leavenworth girls’ golf team to compete in Wednesday’s Sunflower League competition.
Playing on St. Andrews Golf Course in Overland Park, Cline shot a 114.
“She got a little frustrated at the beginning and it got in her brain a little bit,” LV coach Bob Hart said. “We all know how that goes in golf. But then she really chipped well and putted well. Her alignment was a little off, but if she gets that straightened out she will be fine in regionals.”
Leavenworth’s regional tournament is at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Shawnee Country Club.
