Nathaniel James Williams was born April 24, 1979 in Oakland, Calif. He passed away on September 30, 2012. Nate was the second of two children from the union of his father, Roy Lee Williams and his mother Leona Kay (Taylor) Williams. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his beloved sister Yvonne N. Williams, and his loving grandmother, Laura Mae Taylor.
In 1988 Nate moved with his family from California to Leavenworth, where he attended public schools. After leaving school he worked in many vocations such as construction, roofing, and landscaping. Nate was also a very good cook and often hosted BBQ feasts for his family and friends. Nate's other passion was fishing. After a successful day of fishing he would often show up at the doors of his family and friends and ask them to share in his catch. Since he had so many friends, he had to catch a lot offish.
Nate loved children and they loved him right back. He was also a devoted and loving father to his children. From an early age Nate was schooled in the scriptures by his mother. Though troubled at times by hardships and hurdles, he never lost his faith or love of God.
Nate leaves to mourn his loss: two beloved sons, Isaiah D. Williams and Nathaniel Williams, two precious daughters, Aubrey N. Williams and Gianna Parks, half sister Kennieree Williams, his always supportive grandfather, Ralph Taylor, two uncles, Rusala Taylor and Larry Taylor, an aunt, Ann MarieTaylor, foster brother Jamaal Hall, foster sister Erica Robinson, a host of cousins, and numerous devoted friends.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday October 9, 2012 from 9:45a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee Street, Leavenworth, Kan., with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. Following the service internment will be at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
