  • To the editor:
I have just seen and heard our President Obama address the United Nations.
For those who denigrate and criticize him, examine the command of language, eloquence and assertion that expressed our outrage of the last two weeks with vowed retribution for our murdered Chris Stevens and the three others. Osama bin Laden felt that resolve.
It is difficult to imagine Gov. Mitt Romney with comparative performance. Gov. Romney who has so many positions cannot even speak about noncontroversial peace- time Olympic events without offending. He can not thwart the temptation to political attack in ignorance of the facts. Do we not need to reflect on these situations?
Yes, President Obama made me proud today and Gov. Romney made me embarrassed. I feel confident that no one will throw shoes at President Obama.
With his wife's publically expressed concern for Mitt's mental well-being, the political premonition is his apparent mental break-down and inability to continue as GOP candidate. Chris Christie most likely will be drafted; anyone else in the GOP will have a better chance than Mitt Romney.
