When they met Tuesday, Leavenworth city commissioners took the following action:
They waived $950 worth of administrative fees tied to the property at 426 Pawnee St. The waiver is contingent on the property being sold. Paul Kramer, assistant to the city manager, said $1,004 has been assessed to the property by the city for lawn mowing and other cleanup work. Those fees will remain in place. But the administrative fees are being waived to help bring about possible commercial development of the property.
The vote to waive the administrative fees was 4-1 with Commissioner Mark Preisinger voting against the measure.
They approved employee benefit plans for mental, dental and vision coverage. The health and dental plans through United Healthcare and Delta Dental will have no premium increases. The vision coverage plan through VSP will have a 4 percent increase.
They approved a cereal malt beverage license for Abe's Place at 5101 10th Ave. The vote was 4-1 with Commissioner Davis Moulden voting against it. Moulden typically votes against cereal malt beverage licenses.
