The Immaculata volleyball team is on a roll.
Entering Thursday night's match in Washington, the Lady Raiders had ripped off four straight victories.
That streak became six when Imac dismantled Washington 25-3, 25-3 and beat Schlagle 25-5, 25-5.
"It really was just a good overall game defensively for us," Immaculata coach Dan Schmidt said. "We covered the floor nicely and just played really well overall."
Leading the team in hitting was Mary Thorne and Schmidt highlighted Ellie Wolk for having a good night hitting as well.
"The key is that defensively we've been doing very well," Schmidt said. "Throw in the fact that our hitting is coming around and I think we have a chance to be a really dangerous team."
Immaculata, 21-7, will be in the Jackson Heights tournament on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
"We have won six in a row just this week and we are starting to get things rolling at the time when you want to be," Schmidt said. "Now we just have to make sure that we don't let up and keep it rolling."
