    Orville G. Robertson 77, of Leavenworth passed away October 7th, 2012, at Cushing Hospital.
    Per his wishes their will be no public services. A private family service will be conducted at a later date.
    Orville was born May 24th, 1935, in Atchison, Kan. the son of Frank W. and Agnes E. (Kopp) Robertson.

    Orville G. Robertson 77, of Leavenworth passed away October 7th, 2012, at Cushing Hospital.

    Orville was born May 24th, 1935, in Atchison, Kan. the son of Frank W. and Agnes E. (Kopp) Robertson.
    He attended Atchison High School and then took college classes.
    He married Lois Emler on March 3rd, 1957, in Leavenworth, Kan.
    He was a police officer at Kansas University from 1960 until 1968, and was a security guard for King Radio. He then worked at Honeywell for Securitas Securities until he was diagnosed with brain cancer.
    Orville was a hero and inspiration to everyone he met. At two weeks of age he was held by Amelia Earhart who was friends with Orville's mother. He loved, swimming, bowling, camping, hunting, fishing, helping others, and yard work. He enjoyed traveling with Lois, going on cruises and at 75 years of age he climbed the mountains in Monterey, Mexico. He enjoyed researching family trees and loved family history. Orville enjoyed singing kid songs and teaching them to his grand kids. He enjoyed joking around and ice cream and cookies. He enjoyed watching family video's and antiquing family pictures.
    He is survived by his loving wife Lois, four sons; Gary and Kathy Robertson, and Ron both of Leavenworth, David and his fiancé April Rose Life of Paola, Kan., and Darryl and his wife Kelly Bryant of Leavenworth; twenty five grandchildren, and twenty eight great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild, four sisters; Agnes Trowbridge, Gladys and her husband Ralph Courter, and Mary Cowing all of Leavenworth, and Rita Hunt and her husband Gene of Platte City, Mo.; five brothers; Clarence of Lansing, Kan., Cecil and his wife Wanda of Topeka, Kan., Irvin and his wife Pat of Lansing, Kan., George and his wife Sharon and Lee Roy and his wife Ella all of Olathe, Kan., one sister in law Carol Robertson of Leavenworth, Kan.
    He was preceded in death by two brothers; Frank and Leland, one sister; Beatrice Lupton, one grandson; Jerry Thornington, Jr., and one granddaughter Ashley Robertson.
    Memorials in his name may be directed to the family.
