  • William B. Hoffman, age 74, of Leavenworth, Kansas died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
    A graveside service will be at Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bucklin, Missouri with Rev. David Blakely officiating; Military Rites will be rendered at the cemetery.
    Memorials to American Diabetes Association may be left at or mailed to Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, PO Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628.
    William Blair, son of Charles and Katheryn (McKnight) Hoffman, was born November 7, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio. On February 17, 1963, he married Connie Simpson.
    Mr. Hoffman was a US Army Veteran and was retired after serving 21 years. He had served in the Vietnam War and was a member of the US Army Otter Caribou Association in Atlanta, Georgia. He also had been a Deputy Sheriff for Leavenworth County, Kansas Sheriff's Department.
    Survivors include his wife, Connie of the home; one daughter, Tracy Wooten and husband, Buddy of Leavenworth, Kansas; one son, Mark Hoffman and wife, Tamara of Lawrence, Kansas; and two grandchildren, Randy Williams and wife, Amira and Julian Hoffman all of Lawrence, Kansas.
    His parents preceded him in death.
