Up until Monday, the University of Saint Mary volleyball team found itself stuck in its third longest losing streak of the season.
However, after dropping three matches in a row, the Lady Spires snapped the slide with a straight set sweep of Bethany on Monday — 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.
Saint Mary, 10-21 overall and 5-11 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, will play at Bethel Thursday starting at 7 p.m.
Versus Bethany, USM dismantled its host with 38 total kills to the Lady Swedes 29 and a .136 hitting percentage to the host’s 0.024 clip.
Leading that charge was Aubrey Harris, who had 15 kills, and Jordyne Seichepine, seven kills.
Defensively, Amelia Noll racked up 24 digs while Samantha Richey and Danielle Dowdy each had 13 assists.
