Anita Louise Brown, 73, flew away on angels wings Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Cushing Hospital. Anita was born on Feb. 28, 1939, in Leavenworth, Kan., the daughter of Lawrence (Curly) and Rosa Lee (Pierce-Connelly) Lange.
On March 7, 1955, Anita married Eugene E. Brown. She was preceded by him in death. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Sue.
She is survived by her daughters, Audrey D. (Jorge) Caraballo, Patricia Y. (Joseph) Brinkley, Tina M. (Terry) Bulla; Sons, Eugene E.(Patricia) Brown Jr. , Gerald R. (Sharon) Brown; siblings, James (Pick) Lange, Lawrence (Pat) Lange, Sylvie Young, Donald Lange, Grace Coates, Gary Lange, Vincent Lange, Michael Lange, Evangeline Fanning, Frank Lange, Phillip Lange, and Arithea Porter; seven grandchildren, Genita Brown, Keisha Brown, Anthony Brown, Brandon Caraballo, Contessa Caraballo, Anjoylus Brinkley, Celestine Brinkley, Cheyanne Bulla, Taneka Bulla, Isaiah Bulla and Jordan Bulla; four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Anita was known as "Mother B" "Mother Brown" "Nanny" and her childhood name "Teeter". No one was a stranger to her, she shared her biggest love with all she met and that was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She worked over 35 years with USD 453 in child nutrition. Every child that she served she felt was her own. She just recently retired in may due to health issues but, she wasn't ready to go.
Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
