Knowing the resolve of the Republican Party, I am cautiously optimistic that President Obama has been re-elected. I can only imagine the "if onlys" the sore losers are bantering around.
If only: a) we had listened to Rick Santorum b) we had not been so confident as to have revealed our true thoughts and intentions such as: 1) Mitt's candid words about the 47 percent; 2) Senate minority leader's quest to make President Obama a first-termer; 3) Jeep lie; 4) Akin and Murdoch, Fluke comments; c) had the voter ID laws been enacted as planned; d) Mitt had been protected from the media more avoiding the "Palin effect;" e) the hatred of President Obama had been greater; f) if only Mitt had stayed home from overseas and waited in the Lybyan ordeal.
To say the least. Being severely conservative has its consequences. Money does not equal intelligence or likeability. Flawed changing character, social values, and ignorance of fact does not a president make. My folks use to tell me that going through the tough patches is painful but necessary, sometimes the medicine tastes bad and the side effects are worse; but it is for the overall good. If the Republican predictions about the economy are as good as their presidential predictions, then we are in for a boom.
But remember, if at first you don't succeed try, try again. Go Romney, 2016!
