  • A Leavenworth man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly punched his stepfather multiple times, fracturing the victim’s eye socket, a police spokesman said.
    The incident was reported at 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of Spruce Street.
    The 25-year-old suspect allegedly struck his 40-year-old stepfather several times in the face, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.
    Nicodemus said the two men apparently had an argument about money.
    The victim was transported to the hospital. The suspect was arrested for aggravated battery and taken to the Leavenworth County Jail.
