A car went through three sections of fence before coming to rest after its driver suffered a medical problem Wednesday afternoon in southern Leavenworth County, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Office.

A car went through three sections of fence before coming to rest after its driver suffered a medical problem Wednesday afternoon in southern Leavenworth County, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Office.

The accident was reported at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday in the area of 18261 Linwood Road, which also is Kansas 32 Highway.

A 52-year-old Linwood woman was driving west on K-32 in a 2010 Chrysler 300 when she had a medical emergency. She lost control of the vehicle, which crossed the center line and went into a ditch, according to the report.

The car went through two sections of vinyl fence and then hit a tree. The car then went through a third section of vinyl fence before spinning around and coming to rest in a pasture.

The driver was transported by Leavenworth County EMS to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, according to the report.
