Team Outlook: STRENGTHS — Led by Stanford commit Nathan Butler, the Leavenworth wrestling team will enter the 2012-13 season with one of its most decorated senior classes ever.
The experience and leadership provided by this group will serve the Pioneers well throughout the year.
WEAKNESSES — Though the team holds a wealth of upperclassmen, there are some middleweight gaps in the Leavenworth lineup.
To fill those spots, younger wrestlers will have to contribute as the season ages.
Big meets: Leavenworth Challenger, Dec. 1; Lee’s Summit Invitational, Dec. 15; Topeka Dual, Jan. 9; Newton TOC, Jan. 11; Gardner Dual, Feb. 6
Coach says: ”We have fantastic hardworking leaders that represent their school and community well and I am excited to begin our journey this year.”
