The Kansas Department of Transportation said Monday that the Centennial Bridge in Leavenworth is scheduled to be reduced to one lane to make way for the final task associated with a bridge repair project that began about a year and a half ago.
Kansas Highway 92 over the bridge will be reduced to one lane Tuesday and Wednesday in both directions, according to KDOT, to make way for street lighting work by the city of Leavenworth. The work is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., outside of peak traffic hours. Traffic will be directed over the bridge through the project work zone by way of a flagging operation. Drivers, according to KDOT, should expect some delays.
The city is hoping to complete all of the lighting work in one day, weather permitting.
