  • Lucille V. Ketter, 93 of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away at her residence surrounded by family on November 19th, 2012. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM, Monday, November 26th, 2012 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Almond officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 25th, 2012 at Belden Larkin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Lucille was born December 14th, 1918, in Council Bluffs, Iowa the daughter of Harry Albert and Marie C (Noonon) Christoffersen. She attended schools in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Leavenworth Kansas, moving to Leavenworth on August 6th, 1930. She married Roy Ketter on November 22, 1941 in Leavenworth Kansas, he preceded her in death on July 4th, 1987. She retired from Montgomery Wards after 25 years of service in the bookkeeping department. She was the oldest living member of Trinity United Methodist Church with seventy one years of membership, and was a member of the V.F.W. ladies auxiliary. She is survived by her sister, Barbara A. Spinner of Lansing, Kansas, five special children; Danielle Thompson and her husband Robert, Kelli Miller and her husband Pecos, Kathryn “Kacey” Frederick and her husband Sean, Kathy Myers and her husband Don, and Kyle R. Craig, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Richard H. Christoffersen and Dale R. Christoffersen, two sisters; Harriett Gwartney and Shirley J. Davult, and one brother in law, William J. Spinner. Memorials in her name may be directed to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
