  • High school football in the state of Kansas is officially over for 2012, and with that comes the final conference honors lists.
On Monday, the Sunflower League released its league distinctions and 13 Pioneers were recognized.
Headlining that group were junior running back Jason Randall and senior linebacker Josh Ammel, who each received first-team All-Sunflower accolades.
Randall rushed for 1,030 yards on 163 rushes and nine touchdowns. He also racked up 445 yards on kick returns including two more TDs.
Ammel finished the season with 101 tackles, 38 solo, to not only lead Leavenworth, but also the entire conference.
On the second-team All-Sunflower list were senior lineman Da’Quan Blake and senior kick/punter Judson Cole. Blake accounted for 45 tackles, 17 solo and 11 for loss, from his defensive lineman spot while Cole averaged nearly 32 yards on 20 punts and was 4-for-6 in field goal attempts. He was also 15-of-18 in extra point attempts.
