A Leavenworth County man was taken to the hospital after his vehicle overturned early Tuesday morning, according to information from the Sheriff’s Office.

A Leavenworth County man was taken to the hospital after his vehicle overturned early Tuesday morning, according to information from the Sheriff’s Office.

The 48-year-old man’s car, a 1996 Mercury Mystique, also struck a utility pole, knocking out power to a residence on 166th Street in the rural Bonner Springs area. The accident was reported around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver, who also lives in rural Bonner Springs, was transported by Leavenworth County EMS to the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan., according to Undersheriff Ron Cranor.
