A Leavenworth woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly attacked her husband with a steak knife, a police spokesman said.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, suffered several cuts to the left side of his face and his left forearm, but he did not require any medical assistance, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.
The incident was reported at 3:53 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of North Fourth Street.
The suspect, a 23-year-old woman, reportedly had an argument with her husband about children. Nicodemus said the argument apparently escalated.
The woman was arrested for an allegation of aggravated battery.
