A woman was taken to the hospital after two vehicles collided Saturday afternoon on Eisenhower Road, a police spokesman said.
The accident was reported at 2:04 p.m. Saturday west of the intersection at Shrine Park and Eisenhower roads.
Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department, said a 58-year-old Leavenworth woman was attempting to turn left onto Eisenhower Road from the Dillon’s store parking lot. She was driving a 2012 Buick Verano.
The car collided with a 1992 Honda Accord that was traveling west. The Honda was driven by a 51-year-old McLouth man.
A passenger in the Buick was transported by ambulance to Saint John Hospital for a possible neck injury. The 85-year-old Idaho Falls, Idaho, woman was treated and released, according to Nicodemus.
The driver of the Buick was ticketed for allegations of not having valid proof of insurance and failing to yield from a private drive.
