To correct Lincoln somewhat, he should have said, \x34. . . that government of the people, by the politicians, and for the politicians shall not perish from the earth.

Government's view of the economy: If it moves, tax it.  If it keeps moving, regulate it.  And if it stops moving, subsidize it.  — Ronald Reagan

In the United States, the majority undertakes to supply a multitude of ready-made opinions for the use of individuals, who are thus relieved from the necessity of forming opinions of their own.

For its second season, Betty White's Off Their Rockers will be pairing the 90-year-old funny lady with celebrity guest stars. White's old Mary Tyler Moore Show co-star Ed Asner will be among the famous faces appearing in comedy bits that will run in between the pranks White's team of oldsters pull on younger victims.

Among the new friends who will team with White are America's Got Talent judge Howie Mandel, The Winner Is host Nick Lachey, Jackass stuntman Steve-O and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars Adrienne Maloof, Camille Grammer and Kyle Richards

Season 2 of Off Their Rockers kicks off Tuesday, Jan. 8 with two back-to-back episodes beginning at 8/7c on NBC. White, who earned an Emmy nomination as Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program for Season 1, turns 91 this January. A follow-up special to last year's highly-rated 90th birthday celebration is expected to air on NBC later this winter.
