Joseph S. Kolb, 61, of Malvern, PA died December 3, 2012 at the University of Philadelphia Hospital, from heart complications. Joe was born September 21, 1951, the son of Joseph C. and Margaret F. Kolb of Leavenworth, Kan. Joe married Elizabeth Bergman on June 2, 1973 in Phoenixville, PA.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth Kolb (Bergman) and son, Tyler Kolb, Malvern, PA; his father Joseph C. Kolb, Leavenworth, Kan., his sisters Carol Kolb, Overland Park, Kan., Therese Watson, Leavenworth, and Dorothy Plummer and her husband Larry, Lacon, IL; his brothers Kenneth and his wife Lee of Houston, Texas, Charles of Springfield, Mo., Christopher and his wife Michele of Severn, MD, Ronald and his wife Shantil of Broken Arrow, OK, Robert and his wife Jennifer of Olathe, Kan., and John of Leavenworth. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret F. Kolb. (Dix)
He graduated Leavenworth Senior High School in 1970, entering the U.S. Army in 1971 and serving until 1978, where he specialized in Occupational Therapy. He then worked for Young Windows of Conshohocken, PA for 23 years. He relocated to Siemens Medical Systems as a computer programs specialist for 12 years.
Funeral services were conducted at D'Anjolell Memorial Home in Philadelphia, PA.
