Dean William Zule, 57, of Winchester, passed away, Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 1, 1955, in Leavenworth, the son of William and Dorothy (Capesius) Zule.
In October 2000, he married Gail L. DeMaranville in Jefferson County. She survives at the home. He is also survived by his children, Christopher Zule of Leavenworth, Josh (Jenni)DeMaranville of Leavenworth and Amy DeMaranville of Winchester; his siblings, Diane (Mike) Watkins, David (Theresa) Zule and Greg (Sherry) Zule; and five grandchildren, Seth, Bre'Ella, Wyatt, Cameron and Shyann.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Victoria.
Dean worked for KLM Exploration for over 20 years, a job he truly enjoyed. He enjoyed the outdoor's, gardening, farming, raising cattle and hunting mushrooms. He also loved to play with his grandchildren.
Visitation beginning with praying the rosary will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Lawrence Church, Easton, with Rev. George Bertels as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, Alliance Against Family Violence or a memorial for the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy.
