Shots were fired Tuesday evening at a Leavenworth apartment building, a police spokesman said.
The building was occupied by several people at the time, but no injuries were reported. No arrests have been made, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.
The shooting was reported at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Madison Street.
“Witnesses heard the gunshots but didn’t see anybody,” Nicodemus said.
Police found damage to the building caused by bullets. Nicodemus said authorities believe about four shots were fired at the building.
He said he has no idea why someone fired gunshots at the building.
