A man was arrested for kidnapping after he allegedly grabbed a woman who was trying to leave a Leavenworth home and dragged her back into the residence, a police spokesman said.
The incident, which was considered a case of domestic violence, was reported early Saturday morning in the 700 block of North 13th Terrace.
The 43-year-old victim reportedly has a protection order against the 34-year-old suspect.
The suspect told police the victim had invited him into her home. But the victim said she'd seen the suspect at a mutual friend's house. She later went to sleep at her residence and then awakened to find the suspect there, according to police Lt. Sean Goecke.
"A neighbor called in the disturbance," Goecke said.
The suspect was arrested for allegations of kidnapping, domestic battery, violation of a protection order and disorderly conduct.
