• Car vs. deer injures Lansing man on K-7

  • A Lansing man was taken to Providence Medical Center Wednesday after a deer crashed through the windshield of the vehicle he was driving on Kansas Highway 7 in Bonner Springs.
    The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that at about 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, 37-year-old Charles Silver was driving northbound on K-7 in Wyandotte County, about .2 miles south of Interstate 70, when a deer jumped in front of his 1991 Mazda. According to a report from the KHP, the deer went through the windshield of the vehicle.
    Silver was taken to the hospital with injuries.
