Charles "Chuck" Morrison faithfully departed this world for his eternal life in Heaven on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. Chuck was born in Long Island, New York on June 24, 1958, to Gerald and Muriel Morrison.
Chuck graduated from Park Hill High School in 1976. He worked in the restaurant industry in the Kansas City area until 2007. He last managed the Dairy Queen and Pizza Hut in Lansing, Kan. Chuck was well revered by his employees and colleagues.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Teresa, of the home. Chuck and Teresa were blessed to raise one child, a son, Sean. Sean, his wife Alicia and Chuck's only grandchild, Landon survives him, all of Lee's Summit; he is also survived by his parents, Gerald and Muriel, of Kansas City; one sister, Sue of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
On Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, from 4 to 6 p.m. the family will receive friends at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, at St. Francis de Sales Church in Lansing. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A dinner at St. Francis de Sales will be after the burial. Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Morrison Family.
