One person was taken to the hospital following a crash Friday afternoon in Leavenworth, a police spokesman said.
The accident was reported at 2:54 p.m. Friday at Sixth and Ottawa streets.
An 18-year-old Leavenworth woman was driving north on Sixth Street in a 1994 Saturn car. She allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville that was traveling west on Ottawa Street, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.
The Pontiac's driver, a 58-year-old Leavenworth man, was transported by Leavenworth County EMS to the local VA hospital where he was treated and then released, according to Nicodemus.
The Saturn's driver was not injured. She was ticketed for allegations of not stopping for a stop sign and violation of a speed law.
