Mary Ellen (Keath) loerger, 88, of Leavenworth, Kansas died January 11, 2013, at Medicalodge of Leavenworth, KS. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 23 at 10:00 a.m., St. Martin Lutheran Church, 13849 Hollingsworth Road, Kansas City, KS (K7 & Hollingsworth). She will be inurned at Elk Falls, KS at a later date.
Mary was born to Robert Ray and Zella Josephine (Smith) Keath on December 19,1924 in Elk Falls, KS.
She married Doran Lee loerger on July 4,1942 in Burlington, KS. Mrs. loerger was a former resident of Canadian Shores/Indianola, OK and Tonganoxie, KS. She retired in 1973 from Civil Service at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. After retiring, she worked at St. John's Hospital in Leavenworth, McAlester Regional Hospital in McAlester, OK and read meters for "fun" with the Kiamichi Electric Cooperative out of Wilburton, OK.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Lee (2000), brothers, Norman and Wayne Keath and a sister, Bernice Foreman. She is survived by her sister Geraldine Gilmore, her children, Terry and Billie, their spouses Rhonda and Chuck, her granddaughters, Abby, her husband Cyril (Mary's special friend), Tressa and Elizabeth, along with many loving nephews, nieces and friends.
