In the 3,000 meters race, Caeser Castillo blew past the competition to take first overall, while Nick Haines earned second in the men’s mile.
Also, during the 3,000 event, Brooks Ballou placed sixth. Those performances helped the Spires earn eighth overall. The USM women came in 10th following a fourth place finish by Caroline Suraez in the triple jump.
Clair Lindee took eighth in the 60 hurdles and Carolyn Ellis was ninth in the 600 meters.
Other top men’s results for Saint Mary included Trevor Dawson winning sixth in the long jump and Jake McCurry nailing down seventh in the 200.
