Former Leavenworth and Iowa State standout Victoria Henson was recently selected to the 19-player Heart of America Havoc roster.
The Havoc is beginning its opening season in the Premier Volleyball League, a women’s indoor, region-based professional volleyball league.
Henson, a 2005 graduate of Leavenworth High School, set Iowa State school records in career kills (1,726) and kills per set average (3.90).
She was just the second Cyclone all-time to be named a first-team All-American.
The Havoc will play its first matches of the season at the President’s Day Classic in Omaha, Neb., on Feb. 15.
Of the 19 former collegiate volleyball players chosen from tryouts held in December, six members are former Big 12 student-athletes. The team is made up of players currently living in Kansas and Western Missouri.
