Yvonne M. Clampert (Daigneaux), 81, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at Golden Living Nursing Home, Lansing, KS. Yvonne was born on July 17, 1931 in Kansas City, MO to Joseph Paul and Margaret C. (Doman) Daigneaux.
On June 2, 1951 Yvonne married Albert F. Clampert (deceased) at St. Ignatius Chapel at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. From that union, three children were born, including a son, the late Mark A. Clampert and two daughters, Denise (Donald) M. (Clampert) Portice, and Renee C. (Clampert) Hestand. Albert and Yvonne were married 58 years.
Other survives include 5 grandchildren, Ian, Chelsea and Nicole Clampert; Sarah R. (Hestand) Lienenmann and Robert J. Portice. Yvonne has two great grandchildren, Cadeyn and Greyson Lienemann and one great granddaughter due this May. She has a dear sister in law, Sandy Daigneaux also.
Yvonne worked for several years at Ft. Leavenworth, KS as a civil service worker. She also worked for the Ft. Leavenworth School District as a Teacher's Aide.
Yvonne graduated from high school in 1941 from St. Mary College when it was both a high school and college. After her children left home Yvonne attended St. Mary College to complete to complete 3 full years of college classes.
Yvonne volunteered at St. Joseph Altar Society and served many years there as an Alter Angel. She was a member of the Elk's Auxiliary Club and was a member of the Friendship Club.
Deceased family members include her husband, Albert F. Clampert, her son, Mark A. Clampert, and her brother Robert J. Daigneaux.
Family will receive friends at the Davis Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, February 20, 2013, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 711 N. 5th Street, Leavenworth, KS on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Ks.
Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception / St. Joseph Parish or the American Cancer Society.
