Helen Reilly Fryer, 97 of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away March 5th, 2013 at a Leavenworth, Kansas Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9th, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Phil Winkelbauer officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Burial will in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Lansing, Kansas
Helen was born October 20th, 1915 in Leavenworth, Kansas the daughter of William B. and Josephine (Dahl) Reilly.
She attended Leavenworth Catholic Schools and graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1933. She then attended Kansas State College for two years.
She married John B. Fryer on December 26th, 1942 in Leavenworth, Kansas, he preceded her in death on March 26th, 1948.
Helen worked as a secretary in the Courthouse in the 1940's and 50's and then for Bannon, Potter, Dawson, and Willcott Law office for 17years until her retirement.
She was a member of St. John Guild, Cushing Guild, and Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was a great storyteller and possessed a sharp wit. She loved her animals, cheering for her favorite sports teams and satisfying her sweet tooth! She was proud to be a life-long resident of Leavenworth and even more proud to be a Reilly. Her Irish eyes will always be smiling in our hearts.
She is survived by, one son Michael Fryer of Leavenworth and nine nieces and nephews and a big loving family.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Hugh, and two sisters, Selma Reilly-Wilhite, and Eleanor Woolley
