  • Raines wants to focus on student learning and success

  • About eight months ago, Verna Raines was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Leavenworth Board of Education.
    Raines, 64, said she has gained a comprehensive perspective of what's happening in the school district. And she's now asking voters to elect her to a full four-year term on the board.
