The public is invited to a community forum regarding the future of the Leavenworth school district's facilities. The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday at West Intermediate School, 1901 Spruce St.
District spokesman Jake Potter said the forum comes as part of a long-range facilities planning process.
He said the forum will include a presentation of possible scenarios for facilities if enrollment increases, stays flat or decreases. The scenarios, which were put together by Hollis and Miller Architects, were presented to Leavenworth school board members in January.
Potter said the forum will be an opportunity to seek feedback from the public.
He said the facilities planning process is not tied to a bond issue. But he said the plan that is developed is one resource that could be looked back on in the future.
