Helen Marie (Forge) Linaweaver, 66, of Lansing, passed away, Monday, March 11, 2013, with her loving husband by her side.
Helen Marie (Forge) Linaweaver, 66, of Lansing, passed away, Monday, March 11, 2013, with her loving husband by her side. Helen was born June 15, 1946, in Leavenworth, Kan., the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Fink) Forge.
Helen was raised on the family farm, she attended school at Glen Valley Grade School and graduated from Immaculata High School in 1964. Helen loved her animals and the great outdoors. She worked on the family farm through high school and after graduation. She briefly worked at JC Penney in the stockroom. Helen then worked at Hallmark Cards for over 33 years.
On June 24, 1994, Helen married Arnold Linaweaver at St. Joseph Church in Leavenworth, Kan. He survives her of the home. She also leaves behind to mourn her death brothers, Joseph (Marsha) Forge and Robert (Cathy) Forge; her special little dog, Dinky Du; nieces, nephews and their children; as well as many cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
After retiring, Helen enjoyed traveling with her husband and their dog, Dinky Du, to Alaska and Glacier National Park. They enjoyed two winters in Harlingen, Texas, as well as many other locations through out the United States.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation beginning with praying the rosary will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Sunflower Hospice Care (112 S. Main St. Lansing, Kan.).
