To the editor:
The Leavenworth Historical Museum Association, Inc. (LHMA) Board of Directors wants to express congratulations and our appreciation to all who participated, supported, and made the 11th "A Taste of Leavenworth" a total success.

"A Taste of Leavenworth," ATOL, has two objectives. One is to allow the food producers of Leavenworth the opportunity to showcase their most interesting and delicious cuisines to the citizens of Leavenworth to taste and enjoy. The second is, while the attendees share the universal language of the celebration of excellent food with friends, patrons are entertained and have the opportunity to bid on items donated by the merchants of Leavenworth for the silent and live auctions. These activities work in harmony to be a winner for the food producers, community merchants, the attendees and the Leavenworth Historical Museum Association, Inc.

All monies raised benefit the three museums of the Leavenworth Historical Museum Association, Inc., First City Museum, C. W. Parker Carousel Museum and the National Fred Harvey Museum. The Association is funded by members and community donations and operated solely by volunteers.

As mentioned our appreciation must be expressed to all who worked weeks on the museum committee, to those who worked to provide the best food, to the merchants who donated money and merchandise, to those who were vendors, and the artists who displayed their talents/art work. I recommend that we all re-read the event program to see who the most adamant supporters of the community are. I suggest that the next time you go downtown to make a purchase or to dine. Please remember those who display a sense of community support and are listed in the program.
Thanks again to all for the great success of the 11th ATOL.
