Hello Runners! So how is your training going?
The Five Trails Half Marathon course is just one of the friendliest settings you're likely to run in. Rolling hills through pastoral and historic Leavenworth.
Be diligent in your preparation so you can really enjoy the course come May. I know, I know — sometimes training isn't the most fun thing in the world.
But, there is a certain "justice" handed out by a race. The hard work in training will be rewarded, laziness will be punished.
Snow derailed your training and a half marathon is not the best option for you? You will love our 10K.
Again, a great course that is also spectator friendly. Instead of the bell, we have a “herd” for you that is not to miss.
So, if you are looking to challenge yourself in a fun way, the Five Trails is for you.
Also, be sure to beat the registration price increase by signing up before March 20. In addition, remember the bonus money for achieving a new half marathon course record.
Moving along, if you haven't had a chance, make sure you check out the Five Trails Half Marathon Facebook page. There is lots of great feedback there.
You'll be sure to get all of the latest and greatest breaking news. Speaking of, follow us on twitter — twitter.com/5TrailsHM. Be sure to check in because we want to hear about your training.
Some bonus information, I want to make sure you know about another race in Leavenworth on April 14 — the Queen’s 5K Romp.
It is a ladies thing, though men may register as Tutu Tom’s. We will have tiaras, tees and medals so girls, you won’t want to miss it. Come on out and run with the sisters and check out www.facebook.com/queens5Kromp.
The Five Trails Half Marathon and 10K is possible because of our great sponsors. Welcome back, Mike Nielsen of RE/MAX Realty.
On race day, you will see lots of volunteers from the Leavenworth Bicycle Club. They give up their morning ride to make sure you are well cared for.
More sponsors will be highlighted next month. Check out the back of your t-shirt from 2012 — we like those guys.
I think that is all for now. As always, questions, concerns, comments, or just to chat, drop us an e-mail at email@example.com.
If it is time for you to tell us good-bye, a simple e-mail asking to unsubscribe will get the job done.
Be safe, train well and I'll see you on the roads.
