Judy B. Steve of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away peacefully to be with her Holy Father on March 24, 2013. Judy was born on October 4, 1943 in Nilan, PA. One of her favorite pastimes as a child was swimming in the river with her brother and friends. She graduated from Albert Gallatin High School in Point Marion, PA, and worked as a waitress and dental assistant. She married the love of her life, Joseph A Steve, Jr and together they raised five children. She helped her husband through college at the West Virginia University and followed him proudly throughout the country and overseas as an Army Wife, while her husband served throughout the United States, Viet Nam, Turkey, and the Philippines. She was proud to describe her childhood ambition as being a wife and mother and spoke very fondly of her time as a military wife. After her husband retired, they settled their family on a ranch in rural Leavenworth, Kansas, raising BueLingo and Angus cattle. Judy was active in her children's extracurricular activities and drove a school bus for the local school district for many years. She is preceded in death by her father, William Bair, and her dear husband of 48 years, Joseph A Steve, Jr, who also recently passed away. She is survived by her mother, Jessie May Bair, her brother Wayne Bair, 5 children, Joseph R. (Donna), Martha Sutherland (Scott), Virginia Anderson (Jon), Cynthia Johnson (Jerome), William Steve, 10 loving grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
