    Team Outlook: STRENGTHS — The energy and passion of this year’s Lady Pioneers has stood out to coach Pritchard since day one.
    “If each day they continue to work and learn, they could very well be some of the top track and field athletes in the state,” he said.
    WEAKNESSES — Developing depth is the biggest area that needs improvement according to the Leavenworth coach.
    Big meets: At Sunflower League May 10; At 5A regional May 17; At 5A state May 24-25
    Coach says: “I am very excited for the 2013 season. The Leavenworth track team has added a number of new coaches to the staff.
    “They are very knowledgeable in each of their events. I am very excited to work with each of them as the season progresses.
    “I believe we have the ability to do some great things this season as a team. If our athletes and coaches stay this enthusiastic throughout the entire season and continue to plan and work the way they have been, then great things are sure to happen.
    “Success begins with careful planning and hard work. The group of athletes and coaches that are a part of the Pioneer track team are definitely headed in the right direction toward success. I’m proud to be a part of such a great program.”
